Topic Panicking...op on SAT! (931 hits) Previous Next Up

By Luxeagle On 02/03/10 10:48 am
I would like to start by saying how helpful this site has been, from reading posts to seeing before and after pictures that are truly amazing transformations!
I have my BR booked in for Sat 6th Feb...only 3 days away and am now starting to get a bit panicked! I wondered if any of you ladies out there have some last minute advise for me? I am currently a 32H and hoping to be a 32D, I now keep looking at myself trying to convince myself that I do not need this surgery...and that I am not really that big? My PS has also advised that I have lipo at the sides to acheive a great look, has anyone else had the lipo and if so what did they think? Does it make such a big difference? It has added quite a bit more to the cost so I want to be sure. I have wanted this surgery for years and now it is just around the corner why do I feel like this...is it normal?

32H hoping for 32d BR Feb 6th

Hi Luxeagle, I had my op on 23rd January and I also was wondering was I doing the right thing.  I was very, very good and hiding and disguising my true size which was 32HH (same sizing as you).  Even at the last minute I was thinking, well, no-one can really see how big they are so why go through with a big op?

I'm now 12 days OTR and I'm so very happy that I did it.  It has already made a big difference to how I look.  I now feel and look lighter and there is a larger area of rib/stomach area visible (before, my boobs just took up nearly the whole space, lol)  Even my surgeon, who doesn't say much commented on such large breasts on a 32 inch back.

About the lipo, I don't really know - I didn't have it and mine look fantastic, even now 12 days on.  You're probably like me in that you've thought about it, dreamt about it, worried over it, fought with yourself about it and now that the time is finally here, you're thinking OMG is this really what I want?  I can't tell you what to think but because we are/were a similar size I know what it feels like to not have 2 weights stuck on your ribcage.

Go for it, and the best of luck for Saturday.

32HH to hopefully 32D  23 January 2010 (looking good)

Congrats on your date, almost there!!!  Perfectly normal to be apprehensive.  I'm 41 sleeps away and can't wait!!

Hi Luxeagle

I was Creamys BR buddy - I had mine done on 27 October so am now 8 day  Another 32 but a G down to hopefully a B when the swelling subsides.  Have you looked at my pictures "Bo's boobs and bumpsadaisy".  There are before horrors and after beauties  I had been thinking of having a BR for years, every time my boobs grew bigger, but it does take time to finally come to the decision and only you will know when that is right.  You have come this far, it is only a few steps further until you are and believe me it will make such a difference to you.  Last minute nerves are perfectly normal and it shows your state of mind is absolutely correct.

I saw my PS yesterday and told him that I was quite tender at the sides of my breast and he said "oh that would be the lipo..."  didn't even realise I was having that done as my bill wasn't itemised.  He said he the lipo was essential to get down to the size I wanted and to give me a neat shape,  so I feel that as he's the captain of the ship, he knew best; you should trust your PS's judgement.  But look at my photos and see what your think.

Hope this is of some help to you.

Good luck and see you

Bo x

Hi Lucy,

Thank you for your post.........I know exactly where you are....I too am having trouble sleeping and am also constantly on this site looking at pics! I went for my pre op assessment on Monday and also saw my PS again. I came out of there feeling so confident and re-assured and somehow just panicking all over again! I just want it to be saturday! I have started "nesting" today I have been going aroung the house sorting loads of bits and pieces out, even sorting through my wardrobe so that comfy clothing is to hand! I will let you know how I get on and we can be "Breast Buddies!" online...

Look after yourself too and try and get some sleep!

32FF OTR 16.12.2009 HOPING FOR A D

By Luxeagle On 02/05/10 01:13 am
Hi Lucy,
Sounds familiar! My husband and I also run our own business so we are also juggling a bt to fit it all in. My 2 kids are off to stay at my parents for the weekend, then my sister, brother and sister in law are all on a rota for the following week!
I need to be at the hospital at 7am tommorrow! OMG! the op is around 8.30am and my PS is allowing 3 hours.
With regards to bras i have bought quite a few. All the ones I have bought are front fastening as I think it will be easier? I found a site with quite a choice called www.lessbounce.com gotta love the name! There is a specialist bra section and they have post op bras. I bought a couple of the Medical Z ones and a couple of the Royce with the silver lining ones. Its difficult to know which size and I am aiming for a 32D so went with 34D,DD and E and a 36D just in case! think I should have it covered! With that website you can return bras within 30 days if you need to.
A little bit jittery today to say the least! Its all feeling a bit real! Yikes!

Lisa and Jools... a (((HUGE BIG HUG))) to both of you... I know the feeling too, its a bit overwhelming.  You're not sure which is which, the nervousness or the excitement!!  But I think the emotions will subside gradually and I hope you both will be able to rest easy and stay positive, and think of the good times ahead when you are on the lighter side of life!!
My surgery date is 3 March...so I'll be in your shoes in a few weeks time!!

Best wishes to both of you, and looking forward to hearing from you when you feel up to it....

BR 12TH FEB 38J HOPING FOR 38D X

By Luxeagle On 02/08/10 05:04 am
Hi Lucy....I'm back!

Thought I would drop you a line to say how fantastic I am feeling! It is 48 hours since I had my BR and I am feeling so good...with no pain! I cannot believe it! I am taking my pain killers paracetamol and ipbrufen and they seen to be doing the trick. I do have some bruising at the sides where I had lipo and I think alot more bruising to come out as it feels very deep (Yikes!) but it is not painful! i posted on the main board if you want to have a read. I dont know how you are feeling but the day before I felt very sick and jittery and pretty tearful. On the day itself I wasn't as bad but I got to the point where I tried to zone out and not think about it as it was overwelming me with fear. My consultant and team were so lovely and made me feel so at ease next thing you know I was waking up and it was all over! My new boobs look great, I love them! Perfectly symetrical! i will post pics when I can, my husband is having much fun being behind the camera!
Let me know how you are feeling and if I can be of any help, I can only say it is the most amazing thing. I look in the mirror and cannot quite believe that it is my head stuck on the top of these boobs! Hope this makes some sense to you and is of some help. I just know it was a comfort to me before I went OTR to be on this site talking to ladies who have been through it.

love jools

By Luxeagle On 02/10/10 10:48 am
Hey Jools

I was pretty tired this morning as I hadn't slept well last night so I ended up staying in bed til around 11am, apart from that not too bad, I am being looked after hubby too and he is doing a great job. I am not letting myself do anything much at all as i am tooooo afraid of healing issues. So my day pretty much is in bed, on the sofa in front of the tv, sitting in the kitchen for a coffee or on here! All the while drinking loads of fluids and lemon tea! I am also making the most of staying in my pyjamas and not feeling guilty about it! I have not got my apetite back fully yet, but not complaining as i have a few pounds I want to get rid of!

Take it easy
