Hi Lucy, I saw my PS on tuesday this week. My date for the BR is due in april/ may (advised this by PS on tusday). I asked if i would see him prior to my BR and he said no......which i must say i was surprised about. I believe it is due to my pct outsourcing to another area. So my pre assessment was carried out his week. They checked my weight to make sure i was a healthy weight, in Scotland it has to be below 27 (mine was 25, i have been healthy eating for over a year in order to qualify and to see if they would reduce themselves, but alas they didn't!). I then had my blood pressure and pulse taken, my history, medication, any time spent in hospital, i was also swabbed for mrsa and the PS checked my boobs, advised which size he thought best( which i agreed with). We went over the things that could go wrong, etc. I then spoke to the PS nurse who advised on what type of bras to buy, she was absolutely fab and gave me a contact number of both her and the PS. As it's quite a few weeks off, my GP has to get my bloods checked and the details sent to them. Good luck Lucy. Lyndi |
