UK: National Health Service and Breast Reduction

If you can have your breast reduction on the NHS, there are no costs involved. You will have to pay for prescriptions (unless you are exempt from charges) afterwards.

To our knowledge none of the UK health insurances pay to have a breast reduction done privately.  If you do not qualify for a breast reduction under the NHS you will have to pay for your surgery yourself.  Many hospitals have loan programs available so that the costs are more manageable.

The information in this section is made available through the generous support of Dr. Grant Stevens.
